Day 1 Tahiti
08 July, arrive in Tahiti.  This evening, transfer to your yacht directly in time for light dinner or a snack on arrival.  Overnight on the Yacht.

Day 2 Tahiti Nui - Tahiti Iti
09JUL Today, we take out and sail south from Tahiti Nui to Tahiti Iti.   By-passed by the tourist industry, this magnificent region boasts clear waters, waterfalls, archeological sites and caves.

This is not the Tahiti of tourist brochures, but rather a destination to experience a simple and authentic Polynesia. People here are friendly, natural and still interested in new faces that have come so far to visit. This is one of the only regions left in French Polynesia where you can find wild coastline accessible only by boat or on foot.

Day 4 - Eclipse at Seas south of Tahiti
11JUL  The eclipse is this morning! Don't Sleep in!
We awake this morning already in position to view the eclipse.  Because weather statistics are only about 50% for clear skies, yachts may need to avert clouds. Fortunately, this is no trouble at all for our small, easily maneuverable yachts.

Eclipse is total at 18:29 UT - Tahiti is UT-10. Local Time for totality 8:29 AM.
After eclipse is finished, your captain will sail northwest back to Tahiti while you enjoy your memories of the eclipse experience.

Day 5 - Moorea
12 JUL Just 17km from the main island of Tahiti, Moorea's volcanic peaks soar magically out of the ocean in an explosion of green and velvet and reflect in the tranquil waters of Cook's Bay and Opunohu Bay.  A wide, shallow lagoon surrounds the island's mountains where poetic threads of waterfalls tumble down the cliffs. It is a relaxed, barefoot existence that prevails and there is a real ambiance - from warmth in the air scented with tropical flowers to the fiery romantic sunsets that signal the end of another Tahitian day.

Day 6,
13 July Moorea
Do not pass the chance to snorkel or dive in Moorea: the reef is terrific, with beautiful corals and an incredible amount of fish, and the lemon sharks are quite an attraction- and a favorite among divers. Even on an entry level dive you’ll be able to see clown fishes in their anemone, reef sharks, and a multitude of brightly colored tropical reef fishes. Perhaps the best dive location is the area known as the Rose Garden, just outside of the entrance to Opunohu Bay. The actual Rose Garden is approximately 85ft in depth, making this dive trickier for new divers, but the accompanying spur-and-groove formations at about 30-40ft are also beautiful.

Day 7,
14JUL Moorea - Huahine
Today, we traverse the waters from Moorea to Huahine. With steep mountains descending into protected bays of azure blue and emerald green colors, Huahine is also one of the more geographically diverse of the Society Group. Also known as "The Garden Island" due to its abundance of lush green tropical foliage and wild jungle-like scenery, Huahine is one of the more interesting of the Society Islands to explore. There's also an abundance of long and beautiful white sandy beaches on Huahine.

Day 8
July 15 around Huahine
Relatively unchanged by the modern world, Huahine offer a slower taste of old Polynesia. With only eight small villages scattered across the island, the few residents welcome visitors with great kindness. Not surprisingly, this fertile world offers rich soil providing the local farmers a bountiful harvest of vanilla, melons, and bananas. Huahine is composed of two islands connected by a bridge : Huahine Nui (big Huahine) to the north shelters the very picturesque village of Fare as well as the Maeva district which contains one of the vastest archeological collections in Polynesia. Huahine Iti (little Huahine) to the south boasts superb panoramas as well as magnificent white sand beaches. Don’t miss visiting the blue-eyed freshwater eels of Faie or the archeological ruins.

Day 9
July 16 around Tahaa-
Taha'a and its small motus (islets) can be reached by boat and outrigger from Raiatea. The short sail drops visitors on a motu beach with a perfect small lagoon, and in the near distance, a view of Bora Bora framed by the coconut palms and the lagoon. The surrounding waters of both Tahaa and Raiatea Islands are also known the world over for their legendary sailing, yachting, and sportfishing opportunities. Tahaa's nickname is the "Vanilla Island"- because of it's constant rich aroma of vanilla.
