Day 6. (31 Jul) Southern Altai Range/Bulgan/Eclipse Camp (B,L,D) In the afternoon we drive out of Bulgan along the Hovd river, to our eclipse camp. We will arrive at our eclipse camp next to the emerald green Hovd River in the late afternoon with time to set up equipment and polar align the night before the eclipse. Camping overnight.

Day 7. (1 Aug) Eclipse Day (B,L,D) Today you will have free time to explore the surrounding area and make preparations for viewing the eclipse. We will watch for cloud cover in case we need to make last minute adjustments to the viewing location. Eclipse watching, followed by a celebration dinner. Camping overnight.


The 10 day tour is limited to 27 passengers.
The 14 day tour is limited to 18 passengers.

Reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first serve basis.

Payment Schedule

Initial $500 deposit is required at time of reservation to hold your reservation.

Second payment of $800.00 due February 2, 2008.

Final payment due May 15th, 2008

Late Registration Fee of $250pp applies for bookings after May 1, 2008

Deposit refundable until February 1, 2008

Feb 2- May 15, $1300 cancellation penalty

May 15 - Departure, 100% cancellation penalty
Optional Tour and Travel protection insurance is available for $165pp. Trip insurance protects you in the event of trip cancellations, delays, and medical expenses. Insurance must be purchased before the time of your final deposit and offers protection for pre-existing medical conditions if purchased within 2 weeks of your initial deposit.
