Jiaxing. Eclipse Day at NINE DRAGONS Private Resort - Totality at 9:35am. This morning, after checking weather - we head to our eclipse viewing site at NINE DRAGONS YACHT CLUB MARINA, a large 500 acre private resort on the shore of the Yantze River Delta.  Here, we have highest prospect for clear, smog-free skies overlooking the eastern seaboard.   Our privately reserved yacht club patio offers a view overlooking the water, with an island Buddhist Monastery seen out to our east over the ocean.   Our site has electrical service, western bathrooms, private access and access to modern conveniences.  

In the case of clouds on eclipse day, we can also chase for clear sky prospects over the new high speed Yangtze River Delta bridge to the south, as onramps are just 15 minutes away from our hotel or the resort.  We have a number of back-up locations scouted during the site inspection visit of March, 2009.
