Nov 22. Kathmandu Sightseeing (With option of early morning Everest overflight $150)
visit the Pashupatinath Temple, The Buddhist stupa of Boudhanath dominates the skyline. The ancient Stupa is one of the largest in the world. The influx of large populations of Tibetan refugees from China has seen the construction of over 50 Tibetan Gompas (Monasteries) around Boudhanath. Swayambhunath is also known as the Monkey Temple as there are holy monkeys living in parts of the temple in the north-west.

Nov 23 Royal Chitwan National Park. Fly from Kathmandu to Bharatpur and transfer to your hotel in Unesco World Heritage Royal Chitwan National Park consisting of 400 square miles of river valleys, dense forests and low hills. Temple Tiger Lodge LD

Nov 24. Jungle activities. A full day on elephant game safari with a Naturalist guide. Look out for deer, rhinoceroses, tigers, leopards and more. At the foot of the Himalayas, Chitwan is one of the few remaining undisturbed vestiges of the 'Terai' region, which formerly extended over the foothills of India and Nepal. It has a particularly rich flora and fauna. One of the last populations of single-horned Asiatic rhinoceros lives in the park, which is also one of the last refuges of the rare and elusive Bengal tiger. BLD

Nov 25. Chitwan to Kathmandu. Travel overland to Kathmandu. BD,
