The Information We Collect:

When registering for a travel offering, we collect personal information about you and your party. This information may include: name *, nickname, address *, email, account password, date/time of request *, home phone *, work phone, travel interests, insurance policy, nationality *, passport number *, passport expiration date *, date of birth *, occupation, aircraft seat preference, departure airport, gender *, special personal/dietary needs, roommate preference, and emergency contact details *. * Required information.

When accepting a credit card payment, we collect the details necessary to complete the transaction: amount, card number, name on card, security code, date of expiration, card billing address and phone number.

The Way We Use Information:

We use email addresses to answer the email we receive, provide timely information and assistance, and to promote future offerings. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties. Emails sent to us are retained for reference for an indefinite period.

You can register with our website or by phone or email if you would like to receive our catalog as well as updates on our new offerings.

When registering for an offering, we retain your personal information and acceptance of terms and conditions. We use the information you provide about yourself and your party to collect payment and to secure space with our air, sea, and land tour operators and to provide a safe and enjoyable experience. For online credit card payments, credit card details are passed directly to our merchant services provider and are not retained by our company. In the event an online payment is declined we retain the cardholder's name and billing address to facilitate any investigation into the problem. Paper credit card authorizations mailed to our offices are stored as record of the agreement to pay the amount listed, after the payment is manually processed. In the event of a dispute or review with the credit card company, we may share general information such as name, address, product(s) purchased, amount, agreement to terms and conditions, and times and dates of events with the credit card company.

Certain personal information such as name, address, phone, email, passport details, insurance, flights, travel interests, special needs, and emergency contact details will be provided to our tour group leaders at the start of the tour. This is to ensure they may contact you or your designated emergency contact in the event of disruption, delay, changes, personal injury, medical needs, or for other needs during the trip as related to providing a safe and enjoyable experience.

At the conclusion of a trip, clients often wish to obtain the contact details of their fellow travelers. To facilitate this, we pass around a paper form upon which clients may opt-in to sharing name, email, phone, and mailing address details with their travelmates. Your information will not be shared with travelmates without filling out this form or expressly authorizing (in email or writing) such sharing.

We do not share clients' personal information with advertisers, and we do not sell our client list. We reserve the right to share address or email information with other members of the ICSTARS, Inc. family of companies (ICSTARS, DayStar Filters, Moonglow Technologies, and the Stargarden Foundation) to promote astronomy-related products, services, or causes. You may opt out of receiving such material at the time of account registration on the website, or by contacting our offices.

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
